Vintage Tribal Hand Carved Wood Bust of Indigenous Male

This vintage piece is hand carved and possibly Indonesian from the 1940's to 1960's. Perhaps brought back as a souvenir piece, this carving depicts a handsome indigenous male with an elaborate feathered headdress. The almost flat back allows it to be displayed in the narrowest of spaces or on the wall.

Our handsome friend stands 7 1/8" high, approximately 1 3/4" deep and he is 4 1/4" wide at the base. In good vintage condition. Some cracks in the crook of the neck and a longer crack in the back but they do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. The white paint dab seen on the bottom as now been gently sanded off. We recommend wiping the piece down with a small amount of butcher block oil after dusting to keep the wood from drying out.
